Available for the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system and for the Apple-developed Mac OS X, Vigleo Lite is a free application that makes it very easy to share videos with others via email or via various social networks. You can share videos you already have on your disk, you can start the webcam and record a video right then and there, or you can use the “Record My Screen” function to record what’s on your monitor and share the video.

The Vigleo Lite installation file for Windows is of 10.7MB. Run this file and a straightforward setup wizard will show up and quickly take you through the process of installing Vigleo Lite on your machine. You can install the application on any Windows edition from Windows XP onward.

Advanced and experience users will immediately feel at home with the Vigleo Lite interface and novice users will need little time to get accustomed to it. After all, there’s nothing too complicated about it. The pane in the middle invites you to add your YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion, Viddler, Blip.tv or Facebook account; once you add your account, you will be able to easily share your videos on these social networking sites. At the top there are buttons for adding a video file (one that you already have on your computer), start your webcam (and thus record a video), and record your screen.

On top of being able to share videos on YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo and other sites, you can also share videos via email using Vigleo Lite. The button for emailing a video is in the bottom part of the interface. Just add the video you want to send, hit the “Email Video” button, enter the email address of the person you want to send the video to, and click the “Send Video” button. Vigleo Lite will then go to work encoding and uploading the video. When it’s done, your browser will open and you will be taken on a page on the Vigleo site where you can view the video. The person you send the video to will be able to see it within the email body, or if he clicks the video, on the aforementioned page on Vigleo.com.

There are two versions of Vigleo out there. Vigleo Lite is free, lets you easily share videos, but it comes with a 30 second record limitation for web cam and screen video recording. Vigleo Pro is not free, does not come with the 30 second limitation, and it has some extra features to offer: multi-pass encoding, 720p and 1080p encoding, custom watermark.

It is quite easy to share videos on social networking sites or via email with the Vigleo Lite application.

Pros

There’s a Windows and a Mac version of Vigleo Lite. The simple installation process takes little time to complete. The user friendly interface is easy to figure out. Add your YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion, Viddler, Blip.tv or Facebook account and share videos on these sites. Share videos via email. Vigleo Lite is free.

Cons

Webcam and screen recording is limited to 30 seconds.
